Hi knitters!
Who doesn’t like to make a debut in garments with a handmade touch?
Today we are teaching you how to customize a basic T-shirt with WAK Pima cotton.
In this tutorial we are going to use Stockinette stitch to make pockets that are perfect for brightening up any outfit this spring.
PINK AND AQUAMARINE POCKET
1. Cast on 18 stitches onto one of your wooden WAK needles using Pima cotton in color A and knit 4 rows in Rib stitch.
2. Row 5: Knit 8 rows in Stockinette stitch with color A.
Row 6: change to color B and knit 12 rows in Stockinette stitch, taking into account the following reductions.
Rows 7, 9 and 11: knit the first stitch, knit the next three stitches together and knit the rest of the row until you have four stitches left, which you will knit in this way- knit three stitches together and knit the last stitch.
Rows 6, 8, 10 and 12: purl these rows.
3. Cast off all the stitches.
YELLOW AND GREY POCKET
1. Cast on 18 stitches onto one of your wooden WAK needles using Pima cotton in color A and knit 4 rows in Rib stitch.
2. Row 5: knit 8 rows in Stockinette stitch with color A.
Row 6: change to color B and knit 8 rows in Stockinette stitch.
3. Cast off all the stitches.
Once you have knitted the “patch” of Pima cotton, sew it to one side of the front of your shirt, towards the bottom and the side. Leave the top part open without sewing it to the shirt in order to create the look of a pocket.
And now this spring you can show off your T-shirt customized with WE ARE KNITTERS cotton!
