Hi knitters!!
Today we want to show you how to crochet block stitch.
This new technique will give a lot of shape and texture to your WAK crochet project because you will crochet squares with relief.
Let’s start with this new stitch!
Cast on a chain with a multiple of 3 + 2 stitches.
1. Start with 1 double crochet on the second stitch of your chain.
2. Crochet on a chain 2 stitches. Slip two stitches from your initial chain and when arriving to the third stitch; crochet 1 double crochet.
Repeat this scheme until the end of your chain so that you finally see a real square with relief.
3. Crochet a chain with 3 stitches and turn your garment.
4. Make a treble crochet on the first 2 chains.
5. Repeat step number 3 and when starting again a treble crochet, do not crochet it on the next chain. You need to do the treble crochet on the double crochet of the lower chain by passing the yarn under the project.
