Today we are going to show you how to add a summery touch to all your crocheted garments. This crossed mesh stitch is as simple as it is versatile, since you can use it for any garment you can think of.

To show you how to do it we are going to use Pima Cotton in the color Mauve and a size 8 crochet hook. Before getting started, we leave you a list of the stitches we are going to use in this tutorial:

Let’s get started.

Make a foundation chain of a multiple of 3 + 2 extra chains.

Rows 1 and 2: work single crochet into all chains.

Row 3: chain 3, *skip 1 stitch, work 1 double crochet in the next 2 stitches, 1 double crochet in the stitch you skipped previously*. Repeat from * to * until there is 1 stitch left, work 1 double crochet.

Rows 4, 5, and 6: work all stitches in single crochet.

To continue, repeat rows 3 to 6 until you reach the desired length.
