How to knit box stitch

You already know that we like easy stitches and results. The one we’ll teach you to knit today also falls into this category: the box stitch. Perfect for those garments that you don’t want to be too complicated, but you want to use somthing with a texture that gives it a lot of vibes.

For this step by step, we’ve used our Merifine yarn and 5mm knitting needles.

We’ll start by casting on a multiple of 4 stitches, plus 2 extra.

Row 1: knit 2, then * purl 2, knit 2 *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

Row 2: stary by purling 2, then * knit 2, purl 2 *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

Row 3:  knit 2, then * knit 2, purl 2 *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

Row 4: knit 2, then * purl 2, knit 2 *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

To make your fabric longer, you’ll just repeat rows 1 to 4.
