 Hi knitters!

We are going to learn how to knit upright with two different colors.

The technique of changing the color while knitting and customizing you garments, is called striped cut. It’s a very efficient way to customize your projects due that you will not see any threads left.

Here you have a picture to understand what we mean 🙂

Cast on first the stitches of the blue fabric yarn and then the pink ones onto your left WAK needle.

1. Start knitting your stitches until the change of color.

2. Take the yarn of the pink color over the blue color.

3. The next step is going to be done inside out. You need to knit again until the next change of color. Take the yarn of the new color over the old one. Before knitting the first stitch of the second color, we have to stretch the yarn a little.

When you intertwine the yarns, do not worry about knitting upright, horizontal or over several stitches. The technique is always going to be the same. What really matters is the way you turn and pass the slip every time, so that the yarn balls don’t get intertwine.

When you pass the slip stitch over you are doing it facing your body. When you pass the slip stitch the other way around, you are doing it outside.
