Hi knitters!!
Today we are going to show you how to knit short rows and reduce length.
Short rows are usually used to improve the technique and get the most out of the design. By using this technique, you will be able to knit small rows and create a little curve on the pattern that will look like a flounce.
Final result: The front side will look better in all your designs. You can use this technique for sweaters, t-shirts, scarves, sleeves and cuffs.
We are going to show you how to do it:
1. Cast on 18 stitches with your left WAK needle as you always do.
In the next row we are going to knit a short row. We already have 8 stitches done.
2. Take stitch number 9 with our right WAK needle without knitting.
3. We take again stitch number 9 but this time to the left WAK needle. Take the wool thread to the front, leaving the left WAK needle on top.
4. We turn our entire design and start knitting our left WAK needle stitches.
You have already done one short row!
Now continue knitting your design as usual until you get 9 stitches and knit the last one with the wool thread.
Please continue knitting these steps until you get the wished size and length. Your will be creating a small curve that will make your designs look perfect.
We are waiting to see all your results on Instagram!
