Hi knitters!
Today we’re teaching you, in detail, how to retake stitches of your wool garments so that you can pick up collars or sleeves (in fact, this technique is also known as “picking up stitches.”
Once you have cast off your project, pick up the stitches that you need with your wooden WAK needle, putting the needle through the center of the casted-off stitches towards the back of the stitch.
Once you have picked up or gathered all of the necessary stitches, proceed by knitting them with the stitch that you want depending on the finish that you need for your garment (if it’s a collar, sleeves, a decorative border….) and then knit the number of rows that your new row of stitches needs.
