Knitters Series: Andrea

How did you start knitting?

I’m always trying new things. I like to challenge myself. A very close friend of mine knows how to knit so I was always begging her to teach me. Then I learnt about WE ARE KNITTERS so I immediately bought a kit and meet with my friend. Even though at first it seemed a bit difficult I could continue all by myself and ended up with two lovely beanies!

What’s your favorite WE ARE KNITTERS kit?

I knitted the CUQUI’S BEANIES last year and I’m so proud of it! The pompom looks so cool! Now I love my new BROOKLYN BRAID, it gives me life when is freezing early in the morning.

Favorite song.

That’s a tough question! I have so many! ‘Hit The Road Jack’ by Ray Charles is one of them. I also like everything sung by Bruce Springsteen, although ‘The River’ is just perfect. Lately I’m really into ‘What Is Your Secret?’ by Nada Surf. They have really nice voices…

Favorite city.

I would say London, but because apparently everybody answers that to this question I’m gonna say Madrid! Why nobody has named it? You have the museums, the bars, the nightlife…you will always find me in any bar in Pez or Palma street. And the sun! Even in Winter you have that beautiful light. I love Madrid.

What’s a ‘perfect date’ for you?

Forget about that. There’s no ‘perfect date’  for me. I love having dinner with good friends or my family. That’s a guarantee that I will have fun for sure!

The best concert you have ever attended

Definitely Coldplay. I didn’t know what to expect as I had never attended one of their shows. It just blew me away. They’re amazing.

5 things you always have in your bag

That’s easy: my phone, my keys, sunglasses, some make-up and money!

Favorite actor/actress

Edward Norton and Meryl Streep. That’s something I don’t have to think about twice. I love all what both of them have done during their careers. She’s unbelievable talented.

¿Cómo aprendiste a tejer?

La verdad es que siempre estoy buscando cosas nuevas que hacer. Me gusta retarme a mi misma. Tengo una amiga que sabe tejer perfectamente, así que siempre le suplicaba que me enseñara. Cuando me enteré que existía WE ARE KNITTERS rápidamente compré un kit y fui a enseñárselo. Al principio me costó un poco, pero al final fui capaz de tejer yo solita dos gorritos geniales.

¿Cuál es tu kit favorito de WE ARE KNITTERS?

¡El año pasado tejí el CUQUI’S BEANIES y estoy orgullosísima de ello! El pompón queda genial. Ahora mismo me encanta mi nuevo BROOKLYN BRAID, me da la vida por las mañanas, hace un frío…

Canción favorita

Esa es una pregunta muy difícil para mi, ¡tengo muchísimas! ‘Hit The Road Jack’ de Ray Charles es una de ellas. También me encanta cualquier cosa de Bruce Springsteen, aunque ‘The River’ es perfecta. Últimamente me encanta escuchar ‘What Is Your Secret?’ de Nada Surf. Tienen unas voces que suenan muy bien.

Ciudad favorita.

Diría Londres, pero como todo el mundo parece que dice esa ciudad cuando responde a esta pregunta, voy a decir Madrid. ¿Por qué nadie ha respondido eso? Tiene los museos, los bares, millones de sitios para salir por la noche…siempre me puedes encontrar en algún bar de la calle Pez o Palma. ¡Y el sol! Incluso en invierno tienes esa luz tan especial. Me encanta Madrid.

¿Cuál sería tu cita perfecta?

Olvídate. Yo no tengo una cita perfecta. Me encanta cenar con buenos amigos o con mi familia. Es garantía de que lo pasaré genial.

El mejor concierto al que hayas asistido

Definitivamente Coldplay. No sabía muy bien qué esperar porque nunca había ido a uno de sus conciertos.Me quedé con la boca abierta. Son increíbles.

5 cosas que siempre lleves en el bolso

Fácil: mi móvil, las llaves, mis gafas de sol, pinturas y algo de dinero.

Actor/actriz favorito/a

Edward Norton y Meryl Streep. No hace falta que le dé muchas vueltas. Me encanta todas la películas que han hecho los dos en sus carreras. Ella tiene un talento increíble.
